It means that we get a fascinating (anonymised) insight into what UK PLC managers search for in our management portals across a wide range of sectors. Over the last week or so, we've crunched the numbers and converted the raw data we have into a 'wordle' to show the most commonly searched for assistance in 2010. It's a great way of seeing what managers in the UK and beyond are looking for online help with.
I'll not provide huge amounts of in-depth analysis. I think it's quite clear from the image that the challenges that managers are looking for help with today are pretty much the same as they have been for several decades. The top five search terms pretty much map to what most L&D professionals would put down as 'management 101' staple skills:
