SINCE 2000, GOODPRACTICE HAS BEEN CREATING INSPIRING LEARNING AND PERFORMANCE RESOURCES FOR BLUE-CHIP ORGANISATIONS ACROSS THE GLOBE. FROM OUR E-LEARNING, TOOLKITS AND PSYCHOMETRIC ASSESSMENTS, WE CONSISTENTLY DELIVER ENGAGING SOLUTIONS THAT ARE PROVEN TO WORK, TIME AND TIME AGAIN.
The new millennium sees dotcom company goodpractice.net spring to life. It's the brainchild of Margaret Ford (now Baroness Ford of Cunninghame). Peter Casebow joins as Chief Knowledge Officer to help bring big ideas to life.
Managers' Knowledge Bank - an online toolkit to support HR and L&D professionals - is launched. Our first client is the Scottish Ambulance Service. But just as the business is taking off, the dotcom boom turns to bust. We prepare ourselves for a bumpy ride.
The past two years have been a turbulent time, and the close-knit GoodPractice team has made sacrifices along the way. But GoodPractice has managed to weather the storm, with Peter Casebow now in charge as Chief Executive Officer. We start to branch out with the creation of Toolkit for Managers, which helps managers to take professional development into their own hands.
On the back of the success of Toolkit for Managers, we realise that more senior managers and leaders can benefit from our online support materials too. So after some navel-gazing, head-scratching and a focus group or two, we develop the shiny new Toolkit for Leaders. It is an overnight success.
Owen Ferguson joins GoodPractice as Product Development Manager. The GoodPractice team goes from strength to strength, a does our client membership base, with up to 1,000,000 leaders and managers able to access our toolkits throughout the UK.
Owen Ferguson becomes Product Development Director, and under his guidance our toolkits start to feature audio interviews with big names in the world of leadership and management. We also secure interviews with experienced HR and L&D practitioners, as well as getting 'on the ground' insights from leaders and managers themselves.
In 2010 we bring our content management system architect Jonny Anderson in house. Our technical capability and know-how goes from strength to strength.
A busy year for GoodPractice sees the launch of our e-learning offering, with 10 modules focusing on key leadership and management skills. We start to cater for the mobile market with our Top Tips for Managers app, which quickly becomes a hit in the Apple iTunes store. We also go all Steven Spielberg and move into the world of video production. We produce a series of 'talking heads' style interviews to feature in our toolkits, and even try our hand at stop-motion animation too.
It turns out our clients love the e-learning we have produced, spearheaded by then Learning Engagement Manager, James McLuckie. The GoodPractice team decides to get in shape and joins in with the Global Corporate Challenge - the world's biggest fitness initiative - for the first time. We now participate every year with a healthy dose of GCC rivalry springing up between the GoodPractice teams as we walk, run, cycle and swim our way around the virtual globe.
Owen Ferguson becomes Chief Operating Officer, and we start the year with the publication of our New Perspectives on 70:20:10 white paper, which causes quite a stir. Our work catches the eye of Emerald Publishing, who go on to acquire the organisation in June 2015. We are really excited about the future, as we embark on the next chapter for GoodPractice. Watch this space!
